We are pleased to welcome Jens Witsch, MD to the Penn Stroke faculty.  Dr. Witsch earned his medical degree from Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg. He then completed his neurology residency at the Charité in Berlin and a research fellowship in neurocritical care at Columbia University. He subsequently completed a neurology residency at Yale School of Medicine followed by a fellowship in vascular neurology at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical College. He earned a doctoral degree from Heidelberg University for research in cell physiology conducted at the Max Planck Institute in Heidelberg and an advanced teaching and research degree from the Charité (Habilitation).
